Good Company.

Good Company.

As of this very minute we only have 7 short days left in the city. The one thing I have loved while I've been here is having some of our sweet friends and family come visit!! This past weekend one of my oldest childhood friends from Texas was able to come visit me for a few days. Rachel and I were finally able to catch up on each others lives for longer than a few hours or minutes. Now that she is a teacher and wife in Texas it is rare that we see each other more than once or twice a year, so this trip was much needed. You know the friendships you have where you may not speak every single day or even week, both of your lives are going in a million different directions and you both still know your thinking of each other and always best friends? Well that's the kind of friendship we have and I cherish it with all my heart. Needless to say we did tons of talking eating a some sight seeing. One of our first stops on Friday was at the American Girl Store. I know weird, but growing up the two of us were obsessed with our dolls so we found it only appropriate to walk down memory lane. We also admired all the Christmas decorations and took in all the holiday joy the city had to offer.

On Saturday we made our way to the upper west side to take a look at Columbia University. It was just as beautiful as I had heard. They had so many old buildings, and a library that looked like Gorgas  it reminded me of Tuscaloosa. We took a long walk through Central Park and stopped in some holiday shops. We came across the Alice in Wonderland statue in Central Park as well as the pond Stuart Little was filmed at.

After a long walk we stopped by the Gaga Holiday workshop inside Barney's. This exhibit solidified for me how weird Lady Gaga really is. It is a whole floor dedicated to Gaga. It is full of random gifts and baked goods for the holiday season built and designed by Lady Gaga (she is from NY which I didn't know). The rest of Rachel's' trip consisted of Brunch, China Town, wardrobe makeover, and a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. I loved every minute of her trip to NY and can't believe it flew by so fast.

Since the weekend SB and I have been busy packing our apartment up and finishing up the last few days of our internship. Only 2 days left, can't believe it's almost over. Sb's mom as well as Christy will be coming in town over the next few days to hang out with us our last few days in the city. Were looking forward to the holidays with out families and NOLA of course but will definitely miss this place.
Missing you all!
XOXO- MC&SB
