O The Fun We're Beginning To Have.

One of our first of many purchases here in The City!!

After a long day of working and shopping this is exactly what we want to do. We walked 25 blocks and 10 Avenues today AKA TOO FAR. We ended our day coming to our new home on 49th St.

Our new "Wal-Mart"

Well. Well. the past two days have been exhausting and we have learned so much in such a short amount of time. We have had sessions on how to read sales reports, find best sellers, make reorders in amount of $56,000+, and travel around the city picking up samples. Our fellow interns have been so helpful and we love to eat lunch at our new favorite spot "Zaro's" (across from FC). It's a cute little bakery with fresh salads, sandwiches, and soups.

As for our bosses, some of the top management AKA VP of Wholesale "Dina" is a bit scary. She is a blonde New Yorker who has 2 kids and will cuss you up an down one minute and smile the next; she has a laugh you can hear from a mile away. Today as Sarabeth and I were coming back from lunch I heard her yell across the office, "MORGAN, will you come here!!!"... my heart dropped and I wanted to crawl in a hole and die. I quickly replayed the last 3 days in my head wondering what the heck I did...... Thank God she just wanted to see my outfit and tell me it was cute whewww dodged that one!! As for Sarabeth her bosses' have flown to Market till next week and she has been roaming the office aimlessly trying to stay busy and out of trouble. She has made a new best friend named Londa! Londa would be FC's computer sales program that is totally intimidating and necessary for success. She is slowly but surely figuring it out and will soon be in a serious relationship with Londa for the duration of our time here.

The following pictures are just a little view of our office, more to come soon!

We usually get off work about 30 minutes apart in the afternoon's so I walked home alone yesterday leaving SB behind. When she returned home last night she quickly informed me she had her first encounter with the real New York. She was walking down the sidewalk headed towards 49th St. ; might I add there are homeless people on the sidewalks everywhere all the time (you get used to it and ignore them, sounds horrible but it's true). She was walking under scaffolding and accidentally disturbed a homeless man sleeping near by, he was clearly alarmed and grabbed her leg...... there was an elderly man behind her who quickly came to her rescue yelling "get away from her!" Sweet Bessy finally made it home safely and is now officially weirded out by the homeless, and yes he was sleeping in his same spot today (she walked around him being sure to stay far away this time)!!!

Tonight we decided we needed a little retail therapy in our lives! We took our wallets and oversized AXO shirts over to 5th Avenue for some shopping! We started at H&M and ended at a 6 story Forever21. It was a complete success and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to add two new skirts and a fabulous sweater and hat to my wardrobe and SB added a few sweaters a super cool tribal sweatshirt and some adorable new earmuffs to our closet!!! By far one of my favorite things to do in this city. SHOP.

For all of our sweet friends and family reading our blog, we will be updating at least 3 times a week. We plan on updating y'all after the fun and eventful weekend we have planned :)
